How much are taxpayers paying to fight these lawsuits? The County is notorious for wasting taxpayer money to suit their agenda. Just like the coroner keeping the name of a dead 3-year old child from the media in order to protect a corrupt DA’s decision not to prosecute the parents. Public officials would not be screwing with transparency rights if they weren’t hiding something.

Where do you all get that Ashworth is a left-wing liberal. I’m fairly sure he was a life-long registered Republican and then cross filed to run for judge, as most judges do. If I’m wrong, please correct me by explaining your source. Just because you disagree with someone’s position doesn’t make them “liberal”. Meanwhile, I’d be interested to see what happens should Miller decide to bring a photocopier into the bldg.

While I agree that this is a far over reach of power, sometimes you have to get creative to play their game. It clearly states that Mike can bring in his own method of recording the items. In this day and age of technology, there are portable scanners available. It might be worth the investment to purchase one of those and get the information that Mike is seeking.

Public servants violating the constitution? Drafting rules to establish conditions and permissions to exercise a right? Tell me it isn’t so. Mike Miller was in a precarious position in that he had a judges order to allow him to inspect. Under the 1st amendment, Free Press, Mr. Miller is lawfully able to document (video record), public records and to disseminate to interested parties. I am an interested party and want to “see” public servant transparency. Instead, I am left to read the continuing lawlessness of public servants and Judges who use legalese to violate constitutional rights.
