Sanctuary City, Meet Non-Sanctuary County

Lancaster City lies in the heart of Lancaster County. On a voting map, the city is a spot of left-leaning blue in a sea of right-leaning red that makes up the rest of the county. An all Democrat city board unanimously passed an ordinance in February, 2024 codifying sanctuary city status for Lancaster City, which had been based on policies that had been in place in the city since 2019.

What a Wonderful World – Maybe Not

Don’t know much about history, don’t know much biology, don’t know much about science books and I don’t know much about the French I took. Those were the lyrics from a popular song by Sam Cooke in 1960. The words make for a catchy song, but they are not very realistic and they contribute to the sad state of affairs that our country is in, especially as not knowing our history is concerned.
